The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum, based in Myrtia, Heraklion, Crete, organizes an online Microfiction Workshop open to everyone, free of charge.

The Workshop is held in the context of the celebration of the 40 years of the Museum and the online action "The hidden gems of the Museum": https://www.kazantzaki.gr/gr/12-hidden-gems


The Microfiction Workshop is aimed at adults who wish to get to know the condensed narrative world of literature. There is no financial cost or other conditions for participation and the Workshop will take place entirely online, through the Zoom platform.


In the Workshop, a tour of getting to know the world of micro-fiction will be attempted.

 The approach will be theoretical as well as practical and will include:
● Read and analyze dozens of microfiction stories.
● Study of relevant educational material to be distributed electronically.
● Attempt to write short stories, through writing exercises.
● Upon completion of the Workshop, a digital book with a selection of the short fiction stories written by the participants will be published and freely available online.


The presenter of the Workshop will be Yannis Farsaris, writer and educator.


The duration of the Workshop will be 3 two-hour online meetings, on the following dates and times:
● Saturday, March 4, time 10:00 - 12:00 am.
● Saturday, March 18, time 10:00 - 12:00 am.
● Saturday, April 1, time 10:00 - 12:00 am.
